LH Donovan of MHAR

From day 1, Donovan has had striking good looks and lovely style. At cria shearing, we found him to be a beautiful light/medium rose grey with a chocolate "dipped" pattern on his belly and legs. And even as a youngster, his fleece had really nice density and organization, not to mention fineness!

At his first show (CA Classic 2018), Judge Peter Kennedy noted his density, fineness and organization when awarding him first place in Halter.

Then at the 2018 National Alpaca Fleece Show, Judge Wini Labrecque awarded his fleece 80 points and first place (out of 5), noting a beautiful, organized fleece with fineness throughout. His high score helped earn us the Small Breeders Cup, a very high honor!

In the fall, at the Gold Country Gathering 2018, he placed 2nd in halter, with judge Jude Anderson noting his uniformity, density and long staple length, with a slightly less fine fleece than the 1st place alpaca. But the icing on the cake was walking fleece where Judge Sara Jand Maclennan awarded him first place, noting his fineness, handle and uniformity, with very good density and above average balance across the score card!
