Anyone would agree that Challenger is truly one of the best Grey Herdsires in the country. His fleece is comparable to the best fawns and whites, exhibiting tremendous density while maintaining great fineness and staple length. In addition, he has excellent brightness to add to his elite fleece style. His bundling is very tight with excellent separation of bundles, a high frequency crimp of 8 crimps per inch, and the curvature that most alpaca owners want in their breeding programs.
Challenger had a very competitive show career, competing successfully at some of the largest shows, including the Ky Classic, and the Futurity. Check out his brief, but impressive show results, and remember the true test of a great herdsire is not what he wins, but what he produces! Challenger's offspring have set the new standard in the grey classes at shows across the country for the past couple of years.

We acquired Duke after his owner's health problems had him sidelined. So we don't know much about his history, but we felt he had good potential as a herdsire. So we have been slowly introducing him into our breeding program. We've bred Duke to a few girls now and and are finding that as he matures, he has a great ability to handle those "challenging girls" that somehow won't submit to another male!
His first cria is on the ground! She is a very pretty peachy colored girl out of a beige dam and sports dense curly bundles of fleece that has us in awe!
And his second cria is also a girl! She has lovely true black fleece with lots of brightness and character. We're anxious to see how it develops.
His first 2017 cria is a gorgeous dark rose grey boy out of a light rose grey dam. His fleece is loaded with tight popcorn curls, and density that looks very promising! AND then four more cria, three being girls! It's starting to look like this boy "makes girls". Six cria to date and 5 have been girls!!!
With several more cria due this year we can't wait to see what else he produces!

Agisting (boarding) available - 30 days included with in State purchase of breeding quality alpaca. 90 days included for out of state purchases. Purchaser assumes all Vet fees.
Transport available - first 100 miles included with purchase of breeding/show quality alpaca.
