Monet is an older dam that has maintained her looks and fiber quality very well. She was the 1st place winner in Beige at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. Monet is known for producing high quality cria with lots of density, crimp and fineness, as well as excellent conformation. Unfortunately, she doesn't always produce color when bred to color. Having said that, she's produced two fabulous cria now when bred to gray, a black and a rose gray! Monet's 2010 cria (Persey) out of SA Peruvian Grand Moreno ...

Junior herdsire!

Details
We've kept Horse in our herd thinking we would use him as a herdsire in the future. But we've been fortunate to acquire several other nice boys with more grey in their background. So he's been on the back burner. We think he should be put to work and so we are selling him at a seriously reduced price. Snap him up before we change our minds!

Our 4-H kids named him Horse because of the way he charged around the pasture. It was as if he was part of the cavalry, hunting down the opposition!

At almost two years, Horse is showing serious promise as a junior herdsire... really nice conformation and excellent fiber! His true black fiber is very fine and uniform with excellent staple length and no fading! It also exhibits excellent brightness and density with really nice architecture.

Horse's 2013 EPDs are excellent! With an AFD, SD and >30 in the top 25%, he has a strong potential of improving your herd!

Horse took first place (no Color Championship) at the 2013 Gold Country Gathering where Judge Stephanie Glyptis commented on the uniformity, staple architecture and soft handle of his fleece. She also liked his substance of bone, capacity and how well he tracked.

At the 2013 California Classic, he took second place. Judge Peter Kennedy commented on his fineness and outstanding staple length.

Horse again took second place in a very competitive class at the 2014 California Classic where the judge commented on his bone structure/conformation and fineness - noting that he is finer even than the first place male, just not quite as dense.

At the 2015 California Classic, Horse took another first place (no Color Championship) with the judge noting the nice fineness for his age.

We've set his breeding fee at the introductory price of $500. Take advantage of it while it lasts... we expect it will go up when we see more of his cria on the ground!
